Today Amazon Business kicks off back-to-school shopping with deals to help teachers, school administrators and educational institutions save money.
In 2016, teachers spent an average of $500 out-of-pocket for classroom supplies, and 1 in 10 spent $1,000 or more, according to the Education Market Association. In total, teachers last year spent more than $1.6 billion in school supply costs.
Teachers who create a free Amazon Business account, or join their school’s account, can start saving on those supplies. During the Amazon Business back-to-school shopping event, which starts today and continues through September 15, teachers and other educators can access deals on a curated selection of Amazon’s most popular school-related products, including craft supplies, sporting goods and instructional aids. Other deals also include office supplies, food service items, furniture, IT equipment and maintenance supplies.
If your organization is a member of the U.S. Communities national purchasing cooperative, you can take advantage of Amazon Business’s dynamic marketplace pricing without conducting a formal RFP process. With Amazon Business and U.S. Communities, you can select from products in 10 competitively awarded categories, including items in the Amazon Business back-to-school event.
