We heard from customers that managing purchasing for work can be a challenge, whether it's a sole proprietor looking to separate their work and personal purchases, or a large organization looking to modernize their procurement function. Businesses of all sizes continue to seek ways to extend their cash and access shipping options to meet their needs.
Today, we are pleased to announce the launch of new Business Prime benefits for businesses of all sizes in the United States, Germany and Japan. Business Prime members can select a plan that best suits their business needs and access:

Simplified Business Shipping
Business Prime plans start at $179 per year for up to 3 users, and scale seamlessly as you add more users to your business account as part of a tail spend solution. Small business owners can now keep work and personal purchases separate, and with the Business Prime Essentials plan, they can add two more users (such as an accountant or office manager) to take advantage of Business Prime shipping benefits at no additional cost. Larger business customers no longer need to purchase individual Prime memberships for each employee. Instead, they can buy a Business Prime plan that provides fast, free shipping on eligible items for all employees on their business account.
“Amazon Business Spend Visibility allowed me to perform several functions that would otherwise have been manually performed and incredibly time consuming,” said Chris Vanderbilt, Procurement Director at Alterra Mountain Company, who owns and operates more than a dozen ski resorts across North America. For example, to identify purchases out of compliance, Chris would have to download a transaction list from their procurement card provider, request info from specific users, and spot check purchases. Now, using Amazon Business Spend Visibility, he can quickly run a category spend analysis and identify non-compliant purchases across multiple companies and users.
“Business Prime enables customers to get the most out of the great selection, pricing and shopping experience on Amazon Business,” said Prentis Wilson, Vice President of Amazon Business. “Our goal is to help businesses drive even more transparency into their procurement process, while ultimately lowering their total cost of purchasing.”
“Since the launch of Business Prime last year, we have expanded the program with new benefits that offer incredible value and even faster shipping for businesses,” said Cem Sibay, Vice President of Amazon Prime. “Business Prime is designed to meet the complex needs of businesses, and we will continue innovating on behalf of customers to make their purchasing experience even more seamless.”
Business Prime is suited for work, whether that’s at a three-person start-up or a large corporation; whether someone is stocking the supply room or buying laptops for the whole company.
